International security

International security

Our priorities are cybersecurity, crisis management, and the geo-strategic trends shaping the international security environment. We also look at Counterpropaganda as a tool in the geopolitical arena. We strive to be the honest broker at the crossroads of national and international civil–military cooperation efforts and be resolute in our support of national and transnational cooperation for the promotion of peace, security, and prosperity.

Based on their common mission in fostering dialogue and transnational cooperation for the promotion of peace, security, and prosperity and their mutual recognition that a comprehensive civilian, political and military approach is necessary to manage crisis effectively and to maximize coherence and effectiveness of the overall international efforts, NATO MILMED COE and Strategikon established a partnership for the development of MILMED COE’s Exercise Vigorous Warrior series starting with the 2017 iteration.

An increasingly large number of companies and governments have been the victim of cyber-attacks, thus losing sensitive information and withstanding the interruption of the services they offer. In this environment, the public – private dialogue, both national and across borders, becomes the cornerstone of secured cyber infrastructure and safe personal data management. Strategikon strives to understand international trends, what are the lessons to be learned, and what should policy makers keep in mind when confronted with this new type of dilemma.

Global politics is going through a radical shift perhaps as great as the end of World War II and the Cold War, marking possible trends for the years to come. We undertake to follow these developments and to offer guidelines as to understanding and navigating our ever more connected world.

The 2017 edition of the Strategikon Annual Book – The Year of Challenging Choices

It’s not easy to be a leader, but the solution is closer than people may think and it has to do with returning to some good old fashioned traits that shaped leaders in past decades: will power, values and vision. Launched at the Good Governance Summit, The Year of Challenging Choices strives to understand the fault lines in international relations and the relevant actors, as they are and not how they appear to be.
