Bio
Currently, Dan is a Ph.D candidate at Babes-Bolyai University, Cluj-Napoca, Romania – his former alma matter (LLB) and a tutor at the discipline Criminal Law. Before returning in Romania, Dan did his L.LM at Maastricht University – Faculty of Law, the Netherlands, focusing on EU law and public governance. As part of his LLM, he studied as an exchange student in Canada, at the University of British Columbia and McGill University, primarily in the area of IHRL, Human Rights, Comparative Law, IT and the law and Research Methodology. Before that, Dan also participated in two summers schools on comparative law, one in Salzburg, Austria, and another one at Universite Paris II – Pantheon Assas, in France.
From a practical standpoint, in 2015, he was an intern for two months at the Romanian Government, dealing primarily with issues of EU public affairs and litigation. Before that, he worked as an assistant at the Maastricht Human Rights Clinic, participating in Geneva, at the meeting of the CRPD committee on state reports. Even before, when he was still in his bachelor program in legal studies, Dan worked as an intern for several law firms in Cluj-Napoca, for approximately 2 years.
As research activities, Dan published several articles on human rights and international criminal law in the journal Lawyr.it, as well as articles in Romanian in the area of criminal law and human rights.
