Ecaterina has been an intern since First of January 2017, recently her activity was focusing on Party Platforms, Parliamentary Election 2016. So far her work has focused on domestic although her interest remains on matters of foreign policy, security, transparency and the increased role of public diplomacy.
During all this time, her studies have been complemented by some truly challenging and eye-opening volunteering and professional experiences being a part of EU-ACTIV.
Nevertheless, the most impactful experience on her passion for International Affairs was the internship at Aspen Institute Romania, in this environment she worked for organization of Bucharest Forum 2015, “Facing a Perfect Storm: Perspectives for Europe’s Neighbourhood Vision”. During this internship she had the chance to participate in organizing events like: “Festival of Ideas” in partnership with the George Enescu Festival, “Round Table on Energy” and “Bucharest Forum Energy-Romania’s National Energy Strategy in the Context of the EU Energy Union: Balancing Competitiveness Targets and Budgeting Constrains”.
She also took part as a volunteer at events organized by German Marshall Fund of the United States, Caesar Foundation.
In 2015 she enrolled in marter programme of Diplomacy in International Economy, Bucharest University of Economic Studies. As a graduating student of International Relations and European Studies, She has accummulated an in-depth knowledge with respect to current global issues, international relations and external policy and these have always been her field of study since the beginning of her university career. The courses, events and confferences that she took part in have struck her the most because of the fact that in a world in transition like ours, global challenges and quandaries can be fully met only through cooperation, networking and the building of transnational communities. The passion for public deplomacy, the need of transparency in foreign policy, public relations and communication was developed after she graduated from Faculty of letters, University of Bucharest, department Communication and Public Relations.
