February 23rd, 2017

The first day of Cyber Intelligence Europe 2016, international conference and exhibition, was opened by Strategikon VPs Radu Magdin and Eugen Popa. Chairman Radu Magdin spoke about the importance of cybersecurity “Time is money and information is power, both our money and power are under threat, be it our email, bank account, a presidential election or a company’s database. We are here together to find solutions to all this.” Eugen Popa spoke about how” Cyberattacks to our infrastructure have the potential of disrupting our economies and in turn societies. The issue of cyberattacks is a global problem that needs a global solution, as no government can fight cybercrime or secure its cyberspace in isolation.”

Mrs. Ana Birchall the Chairperson of the Commission for European Affairs of the Romanian Parliament argued for a comprehensible Romanian cyber legislation which would enable the development of a strong industry. In her view, both the government and private companies should be involved in creating a safe cyberspace. As the government should support technology transfers and R&D programs, Chairperson Birchall announced a working group with the Ministry of Education to bring cybersecurity to high schoolers.

Strategikon is honored to have welcomed a delegation led by the Israeli Embassy. We would also like to thank the national and international speakers, the exhibitors, all the participants and our partners for a successful event.

The 2017 edition of the Strategikon Annual Book – The Year of Challenging Choices

It’s not easy to be a leader, but the solution is closer than people may think and it has to do with returning to some good old fashioned traits that shaped leaders in past decades: will power, values and vision. Launched at the Good Governance Summit, The Year of Challenging Choices strives to understand the fault lines in international relations and the relevant actors, as they are and not how they appear to be.
